Detailed description

Persol, founded in 1917 in Turin by Giuseppe Ratti, has always been the benchmark for Italian eyewear craftsmanship. This PO3148 model, with its subtle cat-eye silhouette, features the famous silver arrow and the "Meflecto" hinge (patented in 1930), ensuring a flexible, pressure-free fit.

Crafted from hand-polished tortoiseshell acetate, the frame offers strength and lightness, while the category 3 polycarbonate lenses provide 100% UV protection (UV400) and are scratch-resistant.

Worn by Steve McQueen, Greta Garbo, and Marcello Mastroianni, Persol has become synonymous with Italian sophistication, particularly in tortoiseshell acetate frames.

FAQ

Vintage glasses?

What is it?

For us, vintage eyeglasses are more than 20 years old. This means they were made before 2005. You'll find original frames with us, dating from around 1910 to 2010.

Are they new?

Almost! In our collections, you'll find so-called "dead stock" eyeglass frames—which means they're vintage but still new—and others that have already had a life and have been worn.

ALL frames have been refurbished in our workshop near Lyon, cleaned, repolished, repaired, pampered, and more. And most importantly, the lenses are all new and selected for their quality, meeting the same standards as those you'll find at your optician.

Yes! Delivery is free to Mondial Relay points in mainland France for purchases over €100.

Is there a box?

Yes! A pretty little Janine case, with a cleaning cloth to take care of your glasses and help them continue to travel through time for a long time to come... It's FREE of course.
