Delivery, returns, exchanges, warranty

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Vision Janine ships worldwide. Shipping costs and times are specified at the time of ordering.

Can I return a product?

Yes. You have 14 days upon receipt to return the unworn product to us in its original condition. Details are available on the Delivery & Returns page.

How do I know if a frame will fit me?

If the size does not fit you:

Each product sheet details the exact dimensions of the frame (width, height, nose distance, temple length). You can compare these measurements with a pair you already own. Also consider visiting your local optician who will help you adjust the frame to your face (in most cases this is enough even if the size is not exactly right for you). If it really doesn't fit, returns are accepted within 15 days.

If the style doesn't suit you or you've changed your mind:

Returns are accepted within 15 days. So if you change your mind, just send them back!

Can I have corrective lenses fitted?

Yes and no.... Vision Janine only offers non-prescription sunglasses. Our models are designed as fashion accessories with a strong visual identity. However, you can order the frame and visit any optician of your choice to have your Janine glasses fitted and lenses adjusted to your prescription.

What are the guarantees?

Our glasses come with a 3-month warranty against any restoration defects. The sunglasses are brand new and CE certified.

Is there a box?

Yes. Each Janine pair of glasses comes with a matching case, a microfiber cleaning cloth, and a presentation box. If the original case is still in good condition, it will be delivered with the frame in addition to ours, but unfortunately, this isn't always the case...

About

What does Vision Janine offer?

Vision Janine offers high-end vintage sunglasses, carefully refurbished in France. Each piece is unique, selected for its style, rarity, or history.

What is a refurbished vintage eyeglass?

This is an authentic frame from years past (usually from the 60s to 2000s), cleaned, fully restored for a complete refurbishment and fitted with new "optician" quality sun lenses, i.e. the same quality of lenses as at a high-end optician.

Are the glasses authentic?

Yes. All our frames are original and carefully selected from collectors, former opticians, or forgotten stock. Authenticity is verified before being put up for sale.

Where do your glasses come from?

Our models come from all over the world: France, Italy, Germany, Japan... always with a focus on quality and originality. The origin is always specified.

Where and by whom are your glasses restored?

The restoration is entirely carried out in France, in our workshop in Villefranche sur Saône near Lyon, by Adèle, co-founder of Janine, trained by eyewear artisans specializing in vintage and the best craftsmen in France. This process includes cleaning, polishing, adjustment (redressing) and replacement of lenses, as well as the replacement of consumables (nose pads, sleeves, screws, etc.). It is a demanding process that takes between 1 hour (minimum) and 3 hours for the most complex or damaged frames. Today, Adèle's experience with vintage frames makes her one of the few specialists in France in the restoration and repair of eyewear.

Are glasses eco-friendly?

Absolutely. By repurposing existing frames rather than producing new ones, we contribute to circular, elegant, and environmentally friendly fashion.

How are your prices set?

Our prices reflect the rarity of the model, the brand, the original condition, the complexity of the restoration and the quality of the materials (acetate, Optyl, gold metal, etc.).

The complexity of solar glass can also impact the price.

How do you choose your models?

The curation we offer is studied according to current trends.
We prioritize pieces with remarkable designs from iconic fashion houses or independent eyewear makers. Each model is selected for its aesthetic potential, comfort, and good structural condition.

Can I reserve a model?

We do not yet offer a reservation service. Since our models are unique, we recommend that you don't wait too long if you fall in love with one.

Do you buy glasses again?

This can happen, especially for rare and authentic vintage models, but we prefer to use our own supply networks. If you have one or more frames to offer, you can always send us photos at contact@visionjanine.com
